Start Here: Supplement Plans with iHerb

A simple and structured way to begin supporting your child’s nutritional needs.

For many families, supplementation can feel overwhelming.

What products do you choose?
What dosage is appropriate?
What is actually relevant for your child?

And honestly… how do you realistically make all of this work in busy everyday life — with therapy schedules, exhaustion, and a child who is probably already side-eyeing every tiny change you make in their routine?

This is where we need to be smart about it.
☺️

We want to help you build and integrate your child’s supplement plan without feeling lost in hundreds of products, comparing endless labels, or constantly worrying about over- or underdosing.

Let’s do this together — gradually, realistically, and with confidence.

A Simple 2-Step Approach

This keeps supplementation simple and manageable while still allowing you to gradually build a plan around your child’s individual needs.

Step 1 – Foundational Support

We recommend this as the starting point before adding more targeted support.

Step 2 – Specialized Supplements

Additional support added gradually for individual needs such as sleep, digestion, mood, or immune balance - meaning: you do not need to use everything — only what is relevant for your child.

Please note: Every child is different and many autistic children are highly sensitive, which is why gradual implementation and careful observation matter so much. This information is for educational purposes only and should not replace medical advice. Always consult with your child’s healthcare provider when needed.

Step 1 - Foundational Supplements: Your Child's Starter Pack

This foundation was created to simplify decision-making, save parents time, and reduce confusion — by offering a clear, well-considered starting point for supplementation in autistic children. Done with the Foundation?

Once the foundation is in place, additional support can be added where needed.

Step 2 - Specialized Supplements

Optional additions for more targeted support.

These supplements provide more individualized support for areas such as sleep, digestion, mood regulation, immune balance, nervous system stress, or cellular energy support.

The goal is not to use everything at once, but to build support gradually based on your child’s individual needs.

If several areas need support, we recommend prioritizing the body’s most essential core functions first:

💛 sleep
💛 digestion & gut health
💛 healthy bowel movements / constipation support

When these areas improve, many parents also notice positive changes in mood, regulation, stress tolerance, and overall wellbeing.

For children with significant nervous system stress or emotional dysregulation, gentle support such as L-Theanine may also be helpful.

Building Support Step by Step

Supplementation works best when it is part of a broader, thoughtful approach that also includes nutrition, observation, nervous system regulation, lifestyle support, and medical guidance where appropriate.

You do not need to do everything at once.

Many families begin with a small foundational plan and gradually build from there as they better understand their child’s individual needs.

The goal is to support your child safely and realistically - creating a more stable, nourished, and supported bodily environment in which your child can regulate, learn, develop, and thrive.
